Shopping

The most popular shops are located in Kaya Grandi in Kralendijk Center. You'll also find lots of interesting boutiques tucked away in the side streets and at some of the resorts. Each shop seems to be unique on Bonaire. On other places local artists and craftsmen sell their own work.

There are many grocery stores on the island. They offer a large variety of items with familiar brands, which cater to the everyday requirements of most travelers.

Activities

Bonaire’s local license plate reads “Diver’s Paradise" because of the spectacular coral reef all around the island, it is the number one Shore Diving Destination in the Caribbean/Atlantic.

Bonaire is also one of the Caribbean top spots for kiteboarding and windsurfing. Next to kite surfing, windsurfing, diving, sailing, snorkeling… you can also go biking, birdwatching, caving, hiking, fishing, stand-up paddling etc.

All year round you can enjoy average temperatures of 82°F / 28°C.
This small Dutch Caribbean island is home to flamingo's, dolphins, sea turtles etc.

Marine Park

The entire coastline of Bonaire has been declared a marine sanctuary. It’s underwater world is home to an abundance of fish species. STINAPA is the organization that manages Bonaire’s nature parks to help protect its coral reefs, mangroves and seagrass beds and it includes the area’s of Lac and Klein Bonaire.

Something unique about Bonaire’s nature parks is that they are managed and maintained almost completely with funding and support from its visitors. Therefore, you will need to pay a contribution “the nature fee” to enter the waters and to participate in water activities. Your contribution really makes a difference!
